Surah Al Mulk Ayat 28 Tafseer

Para 29 - تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِیْ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

67.28

قُلْ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِیَ اللّٰهُ وَ مَنْ مَّعِیَ اَوْ رَحِمَنَاۙ-فَمَنْ یُّجِیْرُ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ(28)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Say, “Consider, if Allah destroys me and those who are with me or bestows mercy on us, so who will save the disbelievers from painful punishment?”[1]

Commentary

The disbelievers of Makkah wished death for the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and his Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم. So Allah Almighty instructed the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to tell the disbelievers that whether Allah Almighty grants them death, according to the wish of the disbelievers, or He helps them against the disbelievers, it is beneficial for the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and his Companions. In the first instance, they will enter Paradise, and in the second instance, it will be Allah’s great mercy for Him to aid them. In any situation, the disbelievers should instead wonder who will save them from Allah’s painful punishment. Regardless, the disbelievers will be punished due to their disbelief.
